  i began wondering what ever became of many of the people i used to know when i lived in corpus christi, tx.

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  Moving to Canada from France

  I did that 38 years ago with an immigrant visa. I was accomodated, with other immigrants, by Mme Pêche (St Hubert/Rachel) whom The immigration service had directed me to, and I stayed there for a year. Then I came back to France but it turns out that the time I worked there (Freight forwarding) as a wage earner has been validated by the Régie des rentes du Québec as a whole working year, thanks to the social security Entente between Québec and France. So, keep your payroll slips with you and bonne chance !

  I was in the hospital

  for cellulitis/mastitis of the breast.

  when i got sick, i didn't know why or what for.

  i had chills and a fever.

  I suppose that you will find some mentally disturbed people in these confined communities like, maybe, with the Amish and the Mormons, although some of the latter ones seem to fare pretty well, to say nothing about the Jews...

  Alteration in the German Watchtower about spousal physical abuse

  i noticed that the german edition of the study watchtower for today didn't include the phrase about the husband "hitting" the sister.

  instead it just says that he became ferociously angry, which need not imply physical abuse.

  i wonder if the german translator altered it off his own back or was instructed, and how other language editions compare.
